Let God Decide

Forgiveness means allowing God—not you—to determine what your oppressor deserves.

It Has Already Been Paid

Grace baffles us because it goes against the intuition everyone has that, in the face of injustice, some price must be paid…

…a price has been paid—by God himself. God gave up his own Son rather than give up on humanity.

Grace costs nothing for the receipients but everything for the giver.

77 or 490?

“How many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me, up to seven times?”

“Not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”

Some manuscripts have “seventy times seven,” but it hardly matters whether Jesus said 77 or 490: FORGIVENESS, he implies is not the kind of thing you count on an abacus.
